Employee Spotlight: Meet Gerardo Gregory, Wall Production Manager since 2021 at Millard Lumber’s Waverly location! From working as a laborer for a bricklaying crew at the age of 17, to his US Navy service as an Information Systems Technician aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, Gerardo has had an incredible journey that led him to his current role in Millard Lumber’s Wall Shop. Ensuring our wall panel manufacturing department runs smoothly is no easy task, but it’s one that Gerardo takes on with pride every day. With meticulous attention to detail, he ensures that every aspect of production runs smoothly. Working closely with the design and purchasing departments, Gerardo makes sure that the Wall Shop and EWP (Engineered Wood Products) departments have what they need to meet our client’s expectations and deliver top-notch service and quality products. He also evaluates processes, conducts training, and coordinates the many pieces that need to come together to ensure the Wall Panel Manufacturing department can efficiently operate.
Outside of work, Gerardo was inspired by his amazing stepchildren to pursue his dreams of higher education and is now a sophomore at Louisiana State University (Online). He is studying Construction Management and holding a 4.12 GPA overall. He also plays bass guitar and is working on opening his own sound recording company. We are grateful for Gerardo’s hard work and commitment to excellence.
